    Preferred position: Batsman

    Nick is a promising junior who has over the last two season broken into the first team. Learning his trade as an off spinner and very useful batsman. Nick has been playing in the same side as his father Mike.

    Tom is one of the clubs promising youth set up. A right hand bat and medium quick bowler Tom was part of the Hampshire youth set up. A player with a lot of prospects who will be looking to score his maiden century in adult cricket in 2017.

    Preferred position: Bowler

    New to the club for 2014 Mike transferred from Compton and Chandlers Ford pre season. On the EPP program with Hampshire County Mike is a right Hand Bat and Medium pace bowler with a great potential.

    Preferred position: Bowler

    Greg son of Keith and brother of Alex , a solid all rounder who is capable of playing at any level within the club and has done. His medium pace is an asset to any attack as his his lower order batting.

    Preferred position: Batsman

    Current New Chairman for 2017 having captained the first team from 2013 to 2016.Of Lancastrian heritage playing cricket in the Palace Shield and then Central Lancashire League ,before moving to Winchester KS in the mid 90's joining Sparsholt 10 years ago. Supports Morecambe FC. Has a habit of quoting lyrics from folk punk bands no one else has heard of. Tries to bridge the gap between the old traditionalists and the modern age of cricket.

    Preferred position: Batsman

    Nickname Banksey joined Sparsholt in 2016 having been around the Southern League for over two decades. Has taken on the groundsman role for 2017 a hard hitting batsman and medium pace bowler who can keep wicket.

    An old boy of the club returned in 2016 season following a stint in Guernsey. Now first team captain coach and motivator. Left arm spin bowler and batsman and occasional fireman at his own barbecues.

    Stoner a South African by birth and nature , an ex quick bowler who now plies his trade of off spin effectively. Big bloke big charachter competitive and getting older everyday

    Another Lancastrian from Preston Jamie joined Sparsholt in 2016. A swashbuckling batsman with his own stylish Preston slog talks almost as much rubbish as the chairman. An ex footballer who runs around like billy whizz from the beano (an old comic for those who haven't heard of the beano )

    Samuel Kennett

    Preferred position: All rounder

    Joined Sparsholt for the 2017 season and quickly earned the nickname boyband for his youthful looks and over use of hair products. A leg spinner who can bat. A DJ in his spare time from being a student although needs some education in his knowledge of bands from the 80's.

  14. Jonathan (Archie) Norris
    Jonathan (Archie) Norris

    Preferred position: Batsman

    Archie joined for the 2017 to play with his mates Banksey and Richard Kenway the latter of which promptly decided to retire. Ever green Archie is an experienced batsman having won the Southern League with BAT sports. A bit like boyband he uses excessive amounts of hair products but is no longer in his twenties. Will very rarely been seen in shoes and tends to wander around in sandals like he's on a beach.

    Jake Dunford

    Preferred position: Wicket Keeper

    Jake hails from Jersey and has played for them in the ICC World Cup. A busy wicketkeeper batsman who played for Durham University before joining Sparsholt in 2017.

  16. Dan  Weir
    Dan Weir

    Preferred position: Bowler

    Dan was introduced to the club as Drew and immediately earned the nickname Dandrew as its about as ridiculous as his partner in crime boyband hair style. Dan joined from sparsholt having played for Bournemouth Uni and Old Basing. A medium pace bowler and dynamic fielder.

    Nayan Phagami

    Preferred position: Bowler

    Nayan has come up through the junior section and took an impressive 5 for 6 in a first xi game against Fawley in the 2016 making him the first of his peer group to get on the honours board. A medium quick bowler and solid batsman Nayan will be pushing for more premier league wickets this season.

    Stuart Tognarelli

    Preferred position: Batsman

    Togs joined Sparsholt in the 2013 season and immediately showed his ability scoring 152 in the village knockout one of two centuries for the season. Now fully recovered from a shoulder injury Stu is a key batsman in the top order. Like many prolific run scorers he has an innate ability to count to 5 then take a quick single.
